Cattle Collection

After walking the dog this morning, I grabbed the Nikon D3000, put it on auto, and went down the side lane to take these pictures of cattle, just for you. I’m liking this theme and wanting to blog photos to see what happens with them. 🙂

I think this red one is a steer or a bull

I hope you liked my cows! Have good day. 🙂

Are you sure the strawberry coloured one is not a huge sheep. Looks kinda woolly. Like cows, much smarter than sheep, or maybe they are just lazier.

    • My grandmother kept a small herd of diary cows on the town common while I was growing up. She gave a cow to my mum so I’m sort of used to them. They are far superior to sheep! I was pleased with my photos. Thanks for dropping in, Janet. I’m making an effort to get around to everyone’s blog, so hopefully you will see me poking around at your place soon. 🙂

  2. Love the cow photos, Christine! I think your strawberry cow is a steer, but I can’t identify the breed 😦

What adorable creatures they are! I love their sweet woolly faces!

    • I noticed it was a steer eventually. My guess is a roaned Murray Grey / Hereford cross? I think there used to be Murray Grays in the paddock some 25 years ago, when we moved here. Back then, there used to be calves, too. Thanks for dropping in, Paula. 🙂
