Zosterops lateralis: Silvereye

My photo session yesterday yielded these pretty birds, as well as the lovely honeyeaters. From their colouring, I’m assuming these are local Silvereyes. The Tasmanian ones have a yellow undertail and these clearly have white. Later on, these will move north and the Tasmanian ones will take their place.

Cute little birds – averaging about 11cm.  (Nikon D3000, on auto)

Thanks for looking.

Do have a great day!  🙂

It is a cute little thing, the eyes look like the ones you buy from hobby shops.
