Nikon D3000 – a little blurry as I think the UV filter might have fogged with the change of temperature.

    Oh, the scratch is precious. Always loved magpies. When we were kids we were warned to keep away from them (would peck your eyes out). Their warble sounded friendly and we would try and replicate it.

    1. We watched out for them during nesting season. Been swooped a few times but never hurt. I love their warble, too. 🙂

    Love the magpies! Always funny to see pics of magpies with a white back because here in Qld they have a black back with a white patch at the neck.

    1. I’ve seen black backed ones in my travels interstate and I have much the same reaction as you – seems odd! 🙂
