The sulphur-crested cockatoo, cruising by, as usual, on our walk today.


Damn near sun-blinded myself following it across the sky with the Nikon D3000!

Fortunately, I closed my eyes in time – and yanked the camera down.

  1. They are really beautiful. Do they blend in much in the forest? Or are they not forest dwellers? My Umbrella cockatoo (not originally from the wild) originates from Indonesia and surrounding areas. Bright white birds don’t seem as though they’re camouflaged in a forest, especially with that squawk!

    Thanks for sharing and I’m glad you didn’t blind yourself. I about did the same yesterday trying to see what was flying overhead. 🙂
